Police: UNLV player stole sneakers, money and video games
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police say UNLV sophomore forward Savon Goodman stole a pair of Nike sneakers, $500 and 26 video games from a friend's apartment in May.
A Metro Police report released Monday states 19-year-old Goodman went to a friend's apartment north of the university campus in May.
The Las Vegas Sun reports police say Goodman entered the apartment without permission and fled through a patio door when the resident came to investigate.
A warrant was issued Aug. 15 for Goodman's felony charges of burglary and grand larceny and a gross misdemeanor charge of conspiracy to commit burglary stemming from the May 18 incident.
Coach Dave Rice said Saturday that Goodman will sit out the upcoming season.
Goodman, a Philadelphia native, is scheduled to appear Friday in Las Vegas Justice Court.
