Standout juco guard in ND to play for Illinois St
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Former Bismarck State College standout basketball guard Justin McCloud has signed a letter of intent to play for NCAA Division I Illinois State.
The Bottineau native has two years of college eligibility remaining, after his two-year stint at the junior college in North Dakota.
The 6-foot-4, 188-pound McCloud last season led BSC in both scoring and rebounding, with an average of 20 points and seven boards a game. He made 45 percent of the 149 three-point shots he attempted.
Illinois State coach Dan Muller calls McCloud "a tremendous shooter with a quick release and great range."
