Thursday tip-off: Duke-Connecticut, Virginia-Cleveland State

Best Bets: Two of the ACC teams that can still claim membership in the unbeaten club return to action tonight. Second-ranked Duke is featured in the headliner in East Rutherford, N.J., for a neutral site clash with Connecticut (8 p.m. ET, ESPN).

Things haven't exactly gone swimmingly for the Huskies, who knew there would be growing pains with all the departures from last year's national championship team but still didn't expect to be upended by Yale. UConn rebounded from that performance with a romp past Coppin State in which seven-footer Amida Brimah went for 40 points and 12 rebounds and made all 13 of his field-goal attempts. He'll be needed on both ends tonight to handle the Blue Devils' depth, particularly freshman sensation Jahlil Okafor.

Elsewhere in ACC country, No.5 Virginia puts its perfect start on the line at home against Cleveland State (7 p.m. ET, ESPNU).

Number of the day: 32. You could build a house with those bricks. Delaware is setting the standard for field-goal futility at the moment. The winless Blue Hens are connecting on a mere 32% of their tries from the floor. There's a bit of a silver lining, however, as tonight's opponent isn't all that much better. Temple is shooting only 36.2% as a team but has managed a 6-4 start thanks to a stingy defense.

Words of the day: "That was the game right there. That's what we've got to get better at. They only had two fouls and could be extra aggressive. We didn't handle it." — Alabama coach Anthony Grant after his Crimson Tide watched an 11-point lead evaporate in the final six minutes at No.11 Wichita State Tuesday night. Seven empty Alabama possessions in a row helped the Shockers close on a 13-1 run, sending the Crimson Tide home with a 53-52 loss and a golden opportunity for a big road win missed.

Days until Selection Sunday: 87.
