Former Seton Hall player Sterling Gibbs will transfer to Connecticut

Former Seton Hall guard Sterling Gibbs is heading to Connecticut.

Gibbs, who averaged 16.7 points a game to lead the Pirates in scoring last season, announced his decision on Twitter and Instagram pm Saturday evening.

Gibbs led the Big East in three-point shooting at nearly 45%, which was sixth in the country.

He made headlines last season when he punched Villanova's Ryan Arcidiacono in the face while diving for a loose ball.

He was suspended for two games for his actions.

Connecticut will be Gibbs' third school. He transferred from University of Texas to Seton Hall.
