Stephen F. Austin's 5-9 Trey Pinkney likes to get into it with big guys

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Stephen F. Austin is known for its ferocious defense, which prides itself in the pressure it exerts and the turnovers it forces.

Senior guard Trey Pinkney credits his personal love for defense to his "little man syndrome."

"It's not often you see guys who are 5-9 anymore," Pinkney said. "I have to push 'em around as much as possible. I think that shows in the games. I like to get into it with the big guys."

Pinkney was asked if anyone else on the Lumberjacks team suffered from this similar syndrome.

"I might be the only one," he said, laughing. "Everybody else is pretty much standard size."
