Men's college basketball poll: Kentucky takes No. 1 spot from Duke

The No. 1 ranking in men’s basketball tends to be a revolving door in most seasons. For now, at least, it’s Kentucky’s turn.
The Wildcats are off to a 4-0 start and replace Duke atop the Paste BN Sports men's basketball coaches poll this week. Kentucky was picked first on 20 of 31 ballots cast this week. Villanova climbs a spot to No. 2 with four first-place votes after winning a tournament in Charleston, S.C.

Duke didn’t slip far after a loss to Kansas. The Blue Devils rebounded with a couple victories and check in at No. 3, retaining five No. 1 votes in the process. North Carolina hops over Indiana to claim the fourth position, though the Hoosiers received the other two firsts.
Kansas, meanwhile, moves into a tie for sixth with Virginia. Xavier, Arizona and Louisville round out the top 10.
