West Virginia coach Bob Huggins blasted the officiating in his team's 77-69 loss to Kansas on Saturday, taking aim at the staggering discrepancy in free-throw attempts.
"I've never been in a game where the free-throw (attempts) difference was 35-2," Huggins said bluntly.
Huggins was ejected in the closing seconds after he angrily cursed at officials. His outrage came after a game-sealing bucket by KU.
Huggins was asked after the game if the atmosphere at Kansas' Allen Fieldhouse had anything to do with the calls.
"If it is then we need to find other guys to come in here, don’t we?" Huggins said. "I mean, if they’re intimidated by the building then they probably shouldn’t come in here."
