Cincinnati coach Mick Cronin was furious with Jarron Cumberland after he fouled out with about four minutes left in the Bearcats' second-round loss to Nevada — a game in which Cincinnati blew a 22-point lead.
Cronin was seen angrily lecturing Cumberland, who he decided not to take out of the game when he picked up his fourth foul. The Bearcats were without one of their best scorers for the final key stretch of the game.
After the stunning loss, which cost Cincinnati a trip to the Sweet 16, Cronin's emotions didn't settle much in his interaction with reporters.
When asked about coming up short, Cronin offered a pointed response: "Doesn't matter to me. You care about the Sweet 16, I don't. I care about winning the national championship."
