Kentucky basketball's Nate Sestina to miss extended time with broken wrist

LEXINGTON, Kentucky - Just as John Calipari's Kentucky basketball team was returning to full strength, another injury has hit its depth.

Graduate student forward Nate Sestina is set to miss approximately four weeks with a broke wrist, Calipari announced in a video posted to Twitter Wednesday. Sestina's injury comes two games after sophomore EJ Montgomery (ankle) and Immanuel Quickley (chest) returned to active roster.

Sestina had started all six games for Kentucky this season, averaging 7.3 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.

The Wildcats will be back in action Friday against UAB. If Sestina is to miss a full four weeks, he'll be out for games against Georgia Tech, Utah, and No. 9 Ohio State. He's in danger of missing Kentucky's Dec. 28 date with Louisville, who's poised to take over the top spot in the polls following Duke's shocking loss to Stephen F. Austin Tuesday.
