North Carolina guard Caleb Love announces he's transferring to Michigan

North Carolina point guard Caleb Love announced Friday that he is transferring to the University of Michigan.
Love spent three seasons in Chapel Hill, and helped lead the Tar Heels to the NCAA title game in 2022.
The 6-foot-4 St. Louis, Missouri, native averaged a team-leading 16.7 points per game, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.8 assists last season for North Carolina, who started the season ranked as the preseason No. 1 team in the country, but struggled down the stretch and missed the NCAA Tournament.
The team then declined to participate in the NIT.

Michigan is also coming off a disappointing season finishing 18–16 (11–9 Big Ten) and losing to Vanderbilt in the second round of the NIT tournament.
Even with Love's arrival, the Wolverines could potentially need to replenish the roster after Jett Howard and Kobe Bufkin submitted their name in the NBA draft and Hunter Dickinson decided to leave and enter the NCAA transfer portal.
