March Madness is getting closer and the pressure is building for college basketball teams across the country. Some programs are securing their 2025 NCAA tournament seed with big wins, others are dropping key games, and those on the bubble are doing a little of both with Selection Sunday less than a month away now.

The odds, however, have somewhat stabilized. No. 1 Auburn remains the national championship favorite after beating Alabama in an SEC showdown this past weekend, and Duke is still right behind the Tigers. Big 12 favorite Houston and SEC contender Florida are next with the third-best odds to win the title, according to BetMGM.

But the NCAA tournament pits two teams in a one-game scenario, with Cinderella stories a featured part of the fun each year during March Madness. So the betting markets could fluctuate more as conference play reaches its stretch run. Important litmus tests over the next week include Texas A&M at Mississippi State, Alabama at Missouri, Arkansas at Auburn, Marquette at Villanova, UConn at St. John's, Purdue at Michigan State, Michigan State at Michigan, Tennessee at Texas A&M, Iowa State at Houston, Kansas at BYU, BYU at Arizona, Clemson at SMU, Kentucky at Alabama, Duke at Illinois and Saint Mary's at Gonzaga.
