The largest Big 12 conference tournament will commence with 16 teams vying to have strong showings in Kansas City.

It was a wild season in the newly expanded Big 12, but Houston remained the top cat in the conference as it won its second straight conference regular season title. Now the Cougars will try to win their first Big 12 tournament championship, although stiff competition awaits. Texas Tech beat Houston before and will be one of the top four seeds in the tournament, alongside offensive machine Arizona and surging Brigham Young. You also can't count out Iowa State, which has a knack for winning the conference tournament.

While winning the title is nice, some teams like Kansas, Baylor and West Virginia are hoping strong showings will help bolster their NCAA Tournament resume and give them a better seed on Selection Sunday.
