As winter gives way to spring, the growing season begins.

The bugs are back, flowers begin to sprout and the sun stays out a little later. In a way, Cinderella also owns this time of year. A Disney Princess for the majority of the year, she takes on a new identity in March – a chameleon.

She wears a new jersey every year, sporting the colors of a team that continues in the tournament while defying all logic. As long as the shoe fits, of course.

The Alabama State Hornets and St. Francis Red Flash hope to be the right size for that famed slipper in 2025, kicking off the NCAA tournament on Tuesday night in a First Four matchup. They'll hope to make the journey from First Four to Final Four, starting with competing to be the No. 16 seed in the south region of the bracket.

Their prize?

A date with the top-seeded Auburn Tigers.

Will St. Francis' tournament run be a flash in the pan as Alabama State stings its way into the Round of 64? Or can the Red Flash exterminate those pesky Hornets and book their trip to Kentucky?

Here's what to know about the Alabama State vs. St. Francis matchup in the First Four.
