What channel is truTV? How to watch First Four, March Madness games in 2025
March Madness officially kicks off on Tuesday with the First Four.
And that means it's time for every college basketball fan's favorite pastime of the NCAA Tournament: TV schedules.
To some, familiarizing themselves with the TV schedule – which factors into having that perfect quad box at home or setting up plans at a sports bar to watch games – is part of the pageantry that makes March Madness one of the greatest tournaments in sports.
But with the tournament being so spread out across the country, games are also spread out across several non-traditional college basketball channels, such as truTV. It's truly a full all-hands-on-deck operation in every aspect.
Games on truTV get underway on Tuesday, March 18 with the first set of First Four games at UD Arena in Dayton, Ohio, between No. 16 Alabama State-No. 16 Saint Francis and No. 11 North Carolina-No. 11 San Diego State.
Following Night 2 of the First Four on Wednesday, March 19, the channel will see an uptick in coverage on Thursday with first-round games.

What channel is truTV on?
TruTV is one of several TV channels owned by Warner Bros. Discovery and is famously known for carrying the NCAA Tournament as part of Turner Sports' coverage of March Madness.
As noted by Paste BN, truTV is seeing an uptick in coverage for the 2025 NCAA Tournament, as the TV channel will air or simulcast 21 games over the next three weeks. Of the 21 games that will be carried across truTV, several of them will be Sweet 16 and Elite Eight games, in addition to the First Four, as well as first- and second-round games that it normally carries.
