The first round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament starts soon with 16 games played across the country and the schedule is jam-packed with potential Cinderella stories and and Final Four contenders. A West Region first-round game between Hall of Fame coaches is perhaps the most anticipated matchup of the day, with No. 7 seed Kansas and coach Bill Self facing No. 10 seed Arkansas and coach John Calipari.

South Region No. 8 Louisville and No. 9 seed Creighton get the action started just after noon with the winner likely to face No. 1 seed Auburn, which gets No. 16 seed Alabama State coming off its play-in game win Tuesday night. West Region No. 3 seed Texas Tech and No. 14 seed UNC-Wilmington wrap things up more than 12 hours later. In between, popular upset picks in brackets such as VCU, Drake and UC San Diego are also among the teams scheduled to kick off this year's March Madness action.
