The Gators and Tigers have been two of the top college basketball teams the entire season, spearheaded by Walter Clayton Jr. and Johni Broome respectively. When these two teams met earlier in the SEC regular season, Florida walked into The Jungle and came out with a signature 90-81 victory over Auburn.
To make its first Final Four since 2014, Todd Golden's Gators went on a 15-4 run in the final 2:50 of the second half to avoid an upset to No. 3 seed Texas Tech in the Elite Eight of the West Region. As for Bruce Pearl's Tigers, they knocked off No. 2 seed Michigan State in the Elite Eight of the South Region with one of its best performances this postseason.
