Duke men's basketball game against Pitt postponed due to COVID-19
DURHAM, N.C. – Duke's Tuesday game against Pittsburgh has been postponed due to a positive COVID-19 test within the Pitt men's program, according to the university.
This news comes just days after the Duke women's program canceled its season amid the coronavirus pandemic, becoming the first Power Five team to drop out after starting this season.
Duke (3-2) had not played in 13 days after a 75-65 win over Notre Dame in its ACC opener. The Blue Devils previously canceled the rest of its nonconference schedule.
No make up date has been announced. Duke's next game now is Saturday at Florida State.
Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski and Pitt coach Jeff Capel have questioned the wisdom of starting the basketball season amid the pandemic. Capel tested positive earlier this month.
