Atlantic 10: Conference tournament preview

ATLANTIC 10

BEGINS: Wednesday

CHAMPIONSHIP: Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS

WHERE: Brooklyn, N.Y.

OVERVIEW: With five teams in contention for a tournament bid and four teams with 13 or more conference wins, this tournament could get chaotic. A few weeks ago Dayton would have been the favorite, but the Flyers have been in a slump the last couple of weeks. St. Bonaventure, a team right on the bubble, has been the hottest team in the conference lately, winning its last four games. A big factor in the Bonnies’ recent success has been senior guard Marcus Posley, who scored a Division I season-high 47 points against Saint Joseph’s on March 2 to help lift his team to an 98-90 victory. VCU, Saint Joseph’s and George Washington are the other teams to watch out for in this tournament.
