Tuesday hoops spotlight: No. 1 Kansas at No. 10 West Virginia
No. 1 Kansas (14-1) at No. 10 West Virginia (14-1)
7 p.m. ET, ESPN2
This is a huge week in Morgantown, as the Mountaineers play host to the biggest Big 12 heavyweights — not to mention the top two teams in the nation. First up are the Jayhawks, who passed their first road test at Texas Tech after knocking off then-No. 1 Oklahoma in last Monday night’s thriller.
TOP 25: Tuesday's complete schedule
West Virginia handed Kansas a one-point loss in this building a season ago, but the Jayhawks are showing their depth and balance on their current 13-game winning streak.
The Mountaineers, however, have won eight in a row themselves and also have four players averaging at least 12 points a game. They’ll need junior big man Devin Williams (14.5 ppg, 8.6 rpg) to keep Jayhawks’ F Perry Ellis in check.
On Saturday, West Virginia visits No. 2 Oklahoma.
