Big 12: Conference tournament preview

BIG 12

BEGINS: Wednesday

CHAMPIONSHIP: Saturday, 6 p.m. ET, ESPN

WHERE: Kansas City, Mo.

OVERVIEW: Kansas has positioned itself nicely for a No. 1 going into the NCAA tournament, but the Jayhawks will have to get through the tough press of West Virginia and lights-out shooting of Buddy Hield and Oklahoma to win the Big 12 tournament. This conference has six teams in the Top 25 and the competition has been fierce all season, and that won’t change in the tournament. NBA prospects Hield (Oklahoma), Cheick Diallo (Kansas), Taurean Prince (Baylor) and Wayne Selden (Kansas) will all be on display.
