Villanova keeps coaches poll perch, Louisville cracks top 10

The schedule leading up to the holiday weekend was light in men’s college basketball, but one result in particular from the Bluegrass State cause some shifting in the new Paste BN Sports coaches poll.

Louisville vaults back into the top 10 following the big victory against archrival Kentucky. The Cardinals check in at No. 7, while the Wildcats slip three spots to No. 8.

The top three positions remain unchanged with defending champ Villanova retaining the No. 1 position. UCLA hangs on at No. 2 and Kansas stays put at No. 3. Unbeaten Baylor leapfrogs Duke to claim the No. 4 spot, though the Blue Devils continue to receive a first-place vote.
