Michigan State's Eron Harris carried off on stretcher after scary injury

Michigan State senior guard Eron Harris was carried off on a stretcher Saturday against Purdue at West Lafayette, Ind., after crashing awkwardly on his right leg.

Harris, who went down with 9:18 left in the game, howled in pain while being treated on the court.

Emotional Michigan State players huddled up, and Miles Bridges was in tears. Boilermaker fans stood and applauded as he was being taken off the court.

Michigan State coach Tom Izzo said Eron Harris has a "badly sprained knee," noting an MRI would be performed when the team returns to Lansing, Mich. "It doesn't look like anything great," Izzo said.

Purdue beat the Spartans, 80-63.
