March is here: Northern Iowa's crazy, bouncing buzzer-beater to win MVC is must-see
Arch Madness doesn't get its name for nothing.
The Missouri Valley Conference tournament in St. Louis is known for its ability to kickstart the hoops crazy during the month we love so dearly.
Tied with Evansville as the final seconds ticked down in the tournament final, Northern Iowa's Wes Washpun knocked down the game-winner on an unlikely bounce as time expired.

This is March; it has arrived.
Washpun finished 18 points, five rebounds and three assists for Northern Iowa (22-12), the No. 4 seed, which repeated as champion with a 56-54 win. The Panthers beat top seed Wichita State in overtime in the semifinals before dispatching second seed Evansville (25-9) for the third time this season.
D.J. Balentine had 20 points and Jaylon Brown added 18 for Evansville, which hasn’t made it to the NCAA Tournament since 1999.
