Wyoming's Larry Nance out for season with injury
LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — Wyoming junior forward Larry Nance Jr. will miss the rest of the season because of a knee injury.
The loss is a big blow for the Cowboys because Nance led the team in scoring, rebounds, blocks and steals.
Coach Larry Shyatt announced the news on Wednesday. Nance will require surgery to repair the knee.
Nance suffered the injury to his right knee on Tuesday night in a 72-66 win over Fresno State.
He was averaging 15.4 points, 8.4 rebounds and 2.1 blocks a game for Wyoming (17-9, 8-5 Mountain West).
