Patriot League: Conference tournament preview

PATRIOT LEAGUE

BEGINS: Tuesday. Quarterfinal on Thursday, semifinals on Sunday.

CHAMPIONSHIP:  March 9, 7:30 p.m. ET, CBS Sports Network

WHERE: Higher seed hosts

OVERVIEW: The Patriot League regular-season title and most of the tournament's seedings were decided by the final games of the season Saturday. Bucknell came away with first place for the fifth time in six years after defeating Navy 77-73,  making the Bisons the team to beat. Lehigh is a close contender; the preseason favorite placed a close second in the league and is on a nine-game winning streak. The Mountain Hawks feature 6-10 junior Tim Kempton, a two time Patriot League player of the year. Only two other players have accomplished that before their senior year. But don't count out a surprise: Last year's winner, Lafayette, was the tournament's No. 4 seed.
