Texas basketball opens conference play at home against Mississippi State on Saturday, Jan. 3, with the SEC officially announcing the full 2025-26 men's basketball schedules on Wednesday, Aug. 6.

The conference announced the full schedule of conference games for all, a day after releasing the women's basketball conference schedules.

After hosting the Bulldogs for the conference opener, Texas has a difficult stretch in the games that follow, having to travel to Tennessee and to Alabama for the second and third games of conference play, respectively.

Texas made the NCAA tournament last season as a First Four team, but fell to Xavier and coach Sean Miller — who, of course, was then hired by the Longhorns in the offseason after the firing of Rodney Terry.
