Right tackle Flavin out for Illinois

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) — Illinois says starting right tackle Pat Flavin will miss Saturday's game against Western Kentucky with an injury.

The team said in an email Thursday night that Flavin is out but didn't specify his injury. Flavin was wearing a protective boot on his right foot after a practice earlier this week. Redshirt freshman Christian DiLauro is considered a possible replacement.

Illinois (1-0) also said that backup cornerback Jaylen Dunlap will miss the game against the Hilltoppers (1-0).

Defensive end Kenny Nelson is listed as doubtful. He played off the bench in the opener last Saturday.
