Marshall coach, QB team up for United Way

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) — Tickets are on sale for a football signed by Marshall University head football coach Doc Holliday and his star quarterback, Rakeem Cato.

The autographed ball is part of the fundraising drive of the United Way of the River Cities. While the United Way campaign on Marshall's Huntington campus doesn't kick off until Sept. 22, ticket sales for the autographed ball are intended to jump start the campaign.

Tickets for the football are $3 each, or $5 for two tickets. They can be purchased in the Memorial Student Center lobby through Oct. 1. That is also the date of the drawing.
