FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Bret Bielema says he hears more from fans about beating Auburn each year than any other team in the Southeastern Conference.
The Arkansas (2-4, 1-2 SEC) coach will have the chance to improve on his 0-2 record against the Tigers (4-2, 1-2) on Saturday.
There are constant reminders from fans to Bielema about Tigers coach Gus Malzahn's long history in Arkansas. The matchup of the two SEC West schools has proven as entertaining as any for fans and casual observers in recent years.
Both teams have disappointed this year after beginning the season ranked, though the winner will improve to .500 in the SEC and keep its bowl hopes alive.
