Marshall, Cincinnati agree to home-and-home football series


HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) — Marshall and Cincinnati have agreed to renew their football rivalry.

The schools 150 miles apart will meet twice beginning in 2017, when Marshall will visit Nippert Stadium to face the Bearcats. Cincinnati will travel to Huntington to play the Thundering Herd in 2019.

The teams last met in 2008 in Huntington. Cincinnati leads the all-time series 8-3-1.

The schools announced the series' renewal on Thursday.
