Florida State claims top spot in Tinder usage by football programs
Florida State ranks fourth in both the Amway Coaches and the Associated Press preseason college football polls, but the Seminoles are atop the rankings when it comes to one top 25 preseason football ranking: Tinder usage.
Tinder, a top online dating smartphone app, had the Seminoles at No. 1 after Tinder compiled the data by examining the profiles of users, who were given the ability to input their education information in November 2015. The data includes all students, and even some alums, not only athletes.
But while LSU's football team is ranked No. 6 by the Coaches Poll and No. 5 by AP, the school came in at No. 25 in Tinder usage, the company said. Those respondents who listed their school as Alabama, which enters the season atop both polls, used Tinder the ninth-most among Top 25 schools.
Tinder claims that 85% of its users are between 18-34.
