Throughout the college football season, there have been a plethora of great coaching decisions. But we want your help in finding the best.

Here's a list of five amazing play calls that are finalists for the Paste BN Sports Coach's Play Call of the Year. From an offensive lineman scoring on a long touchdown to a player hiding in the end zone during a kick return, we need help in determining college football's best play call of the year.

Watch the five plays below, then cast your vote. Once fan voting closes, the USA Today Sports staff will rank the five plays, with input from fan voting being one of several selection criteria, to determine a winner.

The winning play call will be announced at the American Football Coaches Awards, Jan. 10 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network. Other featured awards during the show include the AFCA FBS National Coach of the Year, which will be selected from recently announced regional winners: Ken Niumatalolo, U.S. Naval Academy; Nick Saban, University of Alabama; P.J. Fleck, Western Michigan University; Dana Holgorsen, West Virginia University; and Mike MacIntyre, University of Colorado. In addition, the show will highlight a special 30th anniversary presentation of the AFCA Coaches’ Trophy, which will be presented to the No. 1 ranked team – and national champion – in the Amway Coaches Poll.

1. David Beaty, Kansas

College football play call of the year nominee: Kansas' David Beaty
Kansas coach David Beaty made the call to have his player camouflage himself in the end zone on a kickoff before receiving a lateral and working his way to great field position in an eventual loss to Iowa State.

DATE: Nov. 12, 2016

GAME: Iowa State at Kansas

PLAY: Kansas was trailing Iowa State 14-10 with just a few minutes left in the first half. In hopes of getting some good field position to get another score before halftime, coach David Beaty had LaQuvionte Gonzalez do his best to hide in the blue-painted portion of the end zone. He did, then received a lateral on the kickoff return that set up the Jayhawks at their 35-yard line. The Jayhawks couldn't capitalize on the good field position and went on to lose the game 31-24. But we'll remember this first-half kickoff return.

2. Tom Herman, Houston

College football play call of the year nominee: Houston's Tom Herman
Up just 19-17 against Oklahoma and with the Sooners attempting a 53-yard field goal to take the lead, Tom Herman sent Brandon Wilson deep just in case the field goal attempt came up short. It did. And Wilson streaked 109 yards the other way for a TD.

DATE: Sept. 3, 2016

GAME: Oklahoma at Houston

PLAY: Houston led Oklahoma 19-17 in the third quarter of a critical early season matchup. The Sooners were attempting a 53-yard field goal to take the lead. Houston coach Tom Herman had Brandon Wilson sit back deep in case the kick came up short. It did. And Wilson hauled it in inches before it fell out of bounds. He then sprinted 109 yards the other way for a touchdown and a massive momentum swing in the Cougars' favor. Houston went on to win 33-23.

3. Urban Meyer, Ohio State

College football play call of the year nominee: Ohio State's Urban Meyer
Urban Meyer went for it on fourth down in the second overtime against Michigan and his Buckeyes rewarded him with a first down -- and a touchdown to win the game on the next play.

DATE: November 26

GAME: Michigan at Ohio State

PLAY: In one of college football's most storied rivalry games, Ohio State and Michigan needed more than 60 minutes to determine the winner. The teams were in double overtime; Ohio State had the ball, and Michigan had a three-point lead. The Buckeyes faced fourth-and-1 from Michigan's 16-yard line. A field goal would tie it and send the game to a third OT. Ohio State coach Urban Meyer elects to go for it instead and quarterback J.T. Barrett gets just enough for the first down. On the next play, Ohio State wins with a 15-yard TD run. Game over.

4. Pat Narduzzi, Pittsburgh

play
College football play call of the year nominee: Pittsburgh's Pat Narduzzi
In the first quarter against Ga. Tech, Pittsburgh coach Pat Narduzzi called a lateral to an offensive lineman. That offensive lineman was Brian O'Neill, a former tight end who scampered into the end zone with a bevy of blockers.

DATE: Oct. 8, 2016

GAME: Georgia Tech at Pittsburgh

PLAY: It's always fun to watch an offensive lineman score a touchdown. Usually they are quick plays of only a few yards. But in the first quarter against Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh coach Pat Narduzzi drew up something different. The call was a designed lateral to offensive lineman Brian O'Neill. O'Neill, a former tight end, did the rest. With a bevy of blockers in front of him, O'Neill rumbled 24 yards for a touchdown in the Panthers' 37-34 victory.

5. Kyle Whittingham, Utah

play
College football play call of the year nominee: Utah's Kyle Whittingham
Kyle Whittingham made a gutsy call against Southern Cal when he chose not to kick a game-tying field goal but instead went for it on fourth down from USC's 23-yard line. Utah took the lead with a touchdown on the next play.

DATE: Sept. 24, 2016

GAME: Southern Cal at Utah

PLAY: Utah trailed USC 27-24 with 45 seconds left. The Utes faced fourth down from the Trojans' 23-yard line. Utah coach Kyle Whittingham could have kicked a field goal to tie the game and head to overtime. Instead, he went for it. His team converted and scored the game-winning TD on next play. That was the last time the Trojans lost a game.
