For the last few years, both Army and Navy have unveiled new uniforms for one of the best rivalry games in college football.

This year's iteration of the Navy uniform has space for a patch on the front side of the left shoulder. There, players can choose to honor the naval divisions of their fathers or brothers or a former teammate. Some units have given a player a patch and asked him to wear it.

Nizaire Cromartie, a senior captain and linebacker, will be wearing a NASC Pensacola Memorial Patch in honor of Joshua Kaleb Watson, one of the three victims at last week's naval base shooting in Pensacola, Florida. Watson graduated from the Naval Academy in 2019.

Cromartie recorded 31 tackles in 11 games this season, including eight for a loss with 3½ sacks, two forced fumbles and a pair of fumble recoveries.
