At least somebody is trying to spread a little good news while we await the return of sports. Duke’s Mayonnaise will be the new title sponsor of the college football bowl game in Charlotte, North Carolina, known as the Belk Bowl since 2011.
The game will match an ACC team against a Big Ten or an SEC opponent in alternate years. The date and time for this year’s Duke’s Mayo Bowl will be determined at a later date.
In addition, the Charlotte Sports Foundation and Duke’s Mayo will continue to stage a regular-season contest that will also be played at Bank of America Stadium. This year’s Duke’s Mayo Classic will match Wake Forest against Notre Dame in Charlotte on Sept. 26.
