Notre Dame-Indiana weather update: Forecast for South Bend ahead of CFP game

There likely won't be much passing on Friday night in Notre Dame football's first-round College Football Playoff against Indiana.
But South Bend, Indiana, the site of Friday's in-state matchup for a spot against No. 2 Georgia in the Sugar Bowl, saw a hefty amount of snow, with a white blanket covering Notre Dame Stadium.

The conditions will almost certainly change how the game will be played, with both teams likely set to rely on a heavy dose of run plays given the tricky weather. Old school football, here we come.

It started snowing in South Bend, Indiana, on Thursday night, and fans woke up to a blanket of snow surrounding Notre Dame Stadium ahead of the first 12-team CFP game ever.
It doesn't look like it'll be going away for Friday night's game, either, as AccuWeather projects there to still be snow coming throughout Friday, along with the high to just slightly reach above freezing at 35 degrees.
AccuWeather projects the weather to be at 29 degrees at kickoff, asking for fans to bundle up for the game. It also expected for there to be some flurries during the contest.
Other than the freezing temperature and some snow, AccuWeather does project, however, for there to be decent wind gusts, predicting up to 27 miles per hour during the game.
