The final first-round matchup of the inaugural 12-team College Football Playoff will feature the Big Ten vs. the SEC.

No. 8 seed Ohio State (11-2) hosts No. 9 seed Tennessee (10-2) at 8 p.m. Saturday from Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. The matchup will feature two teams that fell short of reaching the conference championship game and had to await seeding on college football's selection Sunday.

There, Peyton Manning completed 20 of 35 passes for 182 yards and a touchdown to lead Tennessee to a 20-14 win over Ohio State. Heisman Trophy-winning running back Eddie George rushed 25 times for 101 yards and a 2-yard touchdown, including a long of 17 yards.

Saturday will be the second-ever meeting between the two historic programs.
