College Football Playoff bracket: Quarterfinals schedule and first round results
The College Football Playoff is down to the quarterfinals, with the favorites all winning in the first round.
The final eight teams left standing are set to play in some of the biggest traditional bowl games, spread across New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Ashton Jeanty and No. 3 seed Boise State will meet No. 6 Penn State in the Fiesta Bowl, while the Peach Bowl sees No. 5-seed Texas square off with No. 4-seed Arizona State.
The Rose Bowl will bring together top-seeded Oregon and No. 8 Ohio State, while No. 2 Georgia is heading to the Sugar Bowl to take on No. 7-seed Notre Dame. The winning quarterfinalists will advance to either the Cotton Bowl or Orange Bowl, which make up the CFP semifinals this season. Win there, and it's off to the National Championship on Jan. 20 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga.
