The college football bowl season will feature the USC Trojans and Texas A&M Aggies in the SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl.

The Aggies overcame a season-opening loss to Notre Dame by bouncing back and going on a seven-game winning streak. They ultimately finished the season with an 8-4 record. Freshman Marcel Reed has led Texas A&M at quarterback, enjoying an impressive debut season. He completed 61.4% of his passes for a total of 1,572 yards, along with 12 touchdowns and four interceptions.

Under the guidance of head coach Lincoln Riley, the USC Trojans had a season that didn't meet expectations, resulting in a 6-6 record. However, a bowl win could be the confidence boost they need. Despite the absence of quarterback Miller Moss, who has committed to Louisville, the Trojans are optimistic about the leadership of Jayden Maiava in the upcoming game.

Here's everything to know ahead of kickoff for the Las Vegas Bowl:

Adam Rittenberg writes: "What a bizarre full-circle situation for USC, which began its season with such promise on the same field at Allegiant Stadium, taking down LSU. The Trojans would win only five more games, though, and Miller Moss, the quarterback who fueled the LSU win and set records in last year's Holiday Bowl victory, is in the transfer portal. Jayden Maiva, who replaced Moss, will return to Las Vegas after starring for UNLV in 2023. Texas A&M faces USC for the first time since 1977 and tries to end coach Mike Elko's first season on a positive note. USC coach Lincoln Riley could really use a bowl bump here, but this year he doesn't get one."

Clutch Points: Texas A&M

Cameron Zunkel writes: "On paper, this is going to be a close game. However, the amount of players in the transfer portal for the Trojans is a little too much to overlook. USC has some good backups, and they are all talented, but they do not have many reps on the season. It is going to be hard for them to find a groove. With the Aggies having at least their starting quarterback to lead the team, it should be a little smoother for them. I will take Texas A&M to win this game, and cover the spread Friday night."
