College Football Playoff bracket: Results, schedule for semifinals and championship

The College Football Playoff has reached its final four as we inch closer to a new national champion.
After the top four seeds were eliminated in the CFP quarterfinals, the semifinal games should prove intense.
On Thursday, the No. 6 seed Penn State Nittany Lions square off against the No. 7 seed Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the first semifinal at the Orange Bowl in Miami Gardens, Florida. The following day, the Cotton Bowl will have the No. 5 seed Texas Longhorns facing the No. 8 seed Ohio State Buckeyes Friday in Arlington, Texas.
The winners then face one final gauntlet later this month – the national championship game in Atlanta for the College Football Playoff crown.
