When is kickoff time for CFP championship? How to watch Ohio State vs. Notre Dame

Editor's note: Follow Ohio State vs. Notre Dame live updates, scores and highlights from the national championship game.
College football's biggest game of the season is here, with the CFP championship pairing the No. 8-seed Ohio State Buckeyes and No. 7-seed Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Ohio State (13-2) didn't feel like a candidate to win a National Championship after a 13-10 loss to Michigan at the end of November, but a lot has changed since then. The Buckeyes used the break between the end of the regular season and the CFP to recalibrate, and the results have been impressive. Dominant wins over Tennessee, Oregon, and Texas were keyed by a blend of ruthless offensive efficiency and a consistent ability to pressure quarterbacks on defense.
Notre Dame (14-1) could have seen their season go off the rails all the way back in September, but the response to a stunning upset loss to Northern Illinois has been impressive. The Fighting Irish piled up a long string of blowout wins before surviving tighter CFP contests against Indiana, Georgia, and Penn State. That run has put the team on the cusp of a first national title since 1988.
