Pitt star Tyler Boyd being investigated on suspicion of DUI

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Pittsburgh star wide receiver Tyler Boyd is under investigation for suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop early Friday morning.

Jefferson Hills police say the 20-year-old Boyd was pulled over around 2:30 a.m.

Boyd, from Clairton, Pennsylvania, about 30 minutes south of Pittsburgh, caught 78 passes for 1,261 yards and eight touchdowns and was a first-team All-ACC selection as a sophomore in 2014.Friday. He underwent breathalyzer and blood tests. Sergeant Kevin King says the results are pending and no charges have been filed.

First-year coach Pat Narduzzi called Boyd's situation "both serious and disappointing," and added Boyd will be held accountable to the team's standards of discipline and behavior.
