Virginia Tech fans chant 'Thank You Beamer'

Virginia Tech fans roared their appreciation for Frank Beamer in the legendary coach's final home game with the Hokies.

Chants of "Thank You Beamer" echoed Saturday through Lane Stadium

Beamer, 69, announced Nov. 1 that his 29th season at Virginia Tech would be his last. Beamer, at 276-138-4, is college football's winningest active coach. He is 236-120 Virginia Tech.

The Hokies, facing No. 12 North Carolina on Saturday, are 5-5 and need to beat the Tar Heels or Virginia next week to end Beamer’s career with 23 consecutive postseason appearances.
