FSU LB Matthew Thomas ejected for blatant targeting hit on Miami QB Brad Kaaya


Florida State linebacker Matthew Thomas was ejected from Saturday's ACC game against Miami for a blatant targeting hit to the helmet of Hurricanes quarterback Brad Kaaya.

It's a crucial loss to the Seminoles' defense, as Thomas is one of the team's best linebackers — leading the team with 30 tackles. Freshman Dontavious Jackson replaced Thomas in the lineup.

Thomas also must sit the first half of next week's game against Wake Forest.
