West Virginia starting guard Adam Pankey charged with DUI


Adam Pankey, a senior left offensive guard for West Virginia who has started 25 games the past two seasons, was arrested early Sunday and charged with DUI, according to the Gazette Mail of Charleston.

Pankey's car was found overturned with him inside in Morgantown, W.Va., according to the Gazette Mail. He suffered minor injuries, was taken into custody and charged before being released.

Dana Holgorsen, the Mountaineers' coach, said in a statement, “I have been made aware of the situation and am gathering the facts at this time. When all the facts are in, I will take appropriate action.”
