Why Urban Meyer didn't watch the game-winning play vs. Wisconsin

MADISON, Wis. — On fourth down and with the game on the line in overtime, Wisconsin redshirt freshman quarterback Alex Hornibrook took the snap and dropped back three steps. Almost instantly, the pocket collapsed and he was sacked by four Buckeyes.
Game over. Ohio State won and, more important, remained undefeated.
As some Buckeyes players began to pile upon each other and others began to run screaming across the field to celebrate their biggest win of the season to date, Ohio State coach Urban Meyer got blindsided.
He hadn’t watched the sack. For a moment, he had no idea what was happening.
"I didn’t even see it,” Meyer said afterward. “We were scripting for the next (series). I just almost got ran over on the sidelines.”
Quickly, the result sunk in. Meyer called the game “a real one,” a tough game between two talented and well-coached squads. “A top-fiver,” he said.
