Big Ten reveals 2024 football conference opponents: See who Southern California, UCLA play

With Southern California and UCLA joining next year, the Big Ten shared details of how the West Coast schools will fit into the conference their first season and their home and away opponents.

This new era of college football is more than a year away, but the Big Ten gave a first look at its new alignment with the reveal of its 2024-25 schedule model.

In tact are the major rivalries, such as Michigan-Ohio State, Minnesota-Wisconsin and UCLA-Southern California, and the first year will have matchups made for big-time ratings, like Michigan at Southern California and Ohio State at UCLA.

What's new about the 2024-25 Big Ten schedule?

The nine-game conference schedule stays, but 2024 will be when the Big Ten scraps divisions. Instead, each team will have "protected rivalries" − teams each school will play annually − and will rotate with the other teams in the conference. This means every team will play each other twice — one home and one away — in a four-year span. Each school will also have three "two-play" opponents — teams they'll play home and away in 2024 and 2025.

The Big Ten conference championship game will consist of the two teams with the top conference records.

Also, each current Big Ten team will play Southern California or UCLA in 2024, either on the road or at home.
