Charlotte holds off Florida Atlantic after Hail Mary touchdown is overturned

Florida Atlantic and Charlotte staged a dramatic finish Sunday in their game delayed by Hurricane Matthew.

Trailing 28-23 on the game's final play, Owls quarterback Jason Driskel appeared to complete a throw to Kamrin Solomon on a Hail Mary in the corner of the end zone that would have given Florida Atlantic an unlikely win.

The 38-yard touchdown, however, was reviewed. It was determined Solomon did not make the catch, and Charlotte hung on the victory.

The 49ers earned their first-ever Conference USA win and improved to 2-4. The Owls fell to 1-5.
