Former USC wide receiver Joseph Lewis was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence on Wednesday night in Los Angeles, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson confirmed to Paste BN Sports on Thursday morning.

Officer Carlos Zaragoza said Lewis was arrested at roughly 9:20 p.m. PT in the 5900 block of South Raymond Avenue. Zaragoza described the arrest as "domestic-related" but declined to provide additional details or specify the charge(s).

Lewis was being held on $100,000 bail as of Thursday morning, according to online jail records. It was immediately unclear whether he had retained a lawyer.

Wednesday's arrest, which was first reported by TMZ, came less than six months after Lewis was arrested on domestic violence charges stemming from two separate incidents. He pleaded no contest to two counts of domestic battery in May and completed his subsequent jail sentence earlier this month, according to The Los Angeles Times.

Lewis was suspended by the Trojans following the first arrest, and athletic department spokesperson Tim Tessalone told Paste BN Sports on Thursday that Lewis is "not a member of the football program."

The 19-year-old told The Los Angeles Times in May that he hoped to return to USC once his legal process had concluded.

A five-star recruit who was ranked the No. 1 wide receiver in his recruiting class by ESPN, Lewis caught four passes for 39 yards for the Trojans last season.
