Jackson State quarterback Shedeur Sanders leaves Alabama A&M game with injury

Jackson State sophomore quarterback Shedeur Sanders took a hard hit in the third quarter of Saturday's game against Alabama A&M and did not return.
Sanders was scrambling on the third down when he was sandwiched between two A&M players in Mobile, Alabama. Jackson State team trainers came out and helped Sanders to the sidelines.
It's unclear how severe Sanders' injury might be, as he will be evaluated when the team returns to Jackson, according to a team spokesperson.
Jackson State won the game 27-13 to clinch the SWAC East division title. Sanders was 12-for-20 passing for 164 yards and three touchdowns at the time of his injury. He also had 34 yards rushing on six carries before being replaced by backup J.P. Andrade.
Andrade finished 3-for-8 passing for 19 yards.
