Houston women's basketball coach Todd Buchanan resigns


HOUSTON (AP) — Houston women's basketball coach Todd Buchanan has resigned for personal reasons.

School officials late Saturday announced the departure of Buchanan. He was in his fourth year as head coach of the Cougars, going 46-56. UH is 4-7 so far this season.

Assistant head coach Wade Scott, who's in his eighth season at Houston, has been named interim head coach. Scott previously coached at Western Oklahoma State College, Clarendon College and Grayson County College.
